Spas: Plenty of rest and relaxation available around Lake Wallenpaupack. Not looking for outdoor adventures, in need of a little pampering? Try Utopia Salon & Day Spa. The Lodge at Woodloch may also have what you desire. We’ve also heard good things about The French Manor.

Golf: Here are a few courses that aren’t that far away from the lake. You have to make sure they have availability and some may be private, always call to confirm their availability and rates. Local courses include Paupack Hills Golf Course and Country Club, The Hideout, Tanglewood Golf Course Village & The Country Club at Woodloch Springs. Hit them long and straight, it’s always easier to find your balls if you are in the fairway.

Snow Skiing: The three most common mountain resorts to ski if you happen to be staying on the lake over winter break are Camelback Mountain Resort, Ski Big Bear at Masthope Mountain and The Hideout Ski Hill. Another fun and exciting mountain we’d include is Jack Frost & Big Boulder Ski Resort.

Amusements: Have small children and looking to escape the lake for a day or two, or maybe even just for a couple hours. Look no further, these places offer an exciting list of attractions. Camping: Roughing it, unlikely…. Lake Wallenpaupack has so many wonderful campgrounds to choose from that it’s hard to call out one or two. Whether you have a pull-behind or an RV that you want in a secured location for the season or you’ll be coming in for a long weekend and popping up a tent, book early as spots are limited. We often hear folks talking about Ironwood Point Recreation Area, Ledgedale Recreation Area & Wilsonville Recreation Area.
