Fishing Dates to Remember in 2025

Trout and Salmon (Regular Season)

April 5th @ 8:00am to September 1st @ Midnight

MINIMUM SIZE: Seven (7) inches

Trout Stocking - Dates by County

Walleye, Sauger

January 1st to March 14th
May 3rd to December 31st

Closed between March and May dates

Bass (Large, Small, Spotted)

Open year round

No harvest April 12th - June 14th.

During the no harvest season, anglers must immediately return any bass to the water and are prohibited from casting into spawning beds.

Fish-for-Free Days

Sunday, May 25th
Friday, July 4th

Fish-for-free days allow anyone to legally fish on PA waterways with no license required. All other fishing regulations still apply.
